About the position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team at DES Micro Precision Group LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machining processes and be proficient in programming CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. This role involves close collaboration with engineers and machinists to ensure production goals are met efficiently and accurately, requiring attention to detail and mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes, including lathe and mill operations.
• Utilize Mastercam programming software to create detailed programs based on engineering specifications.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand part requirements and tolerances.
• Implement GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles in programming to ensure precision in manufacturing.
• Operate CNC machines, including HAAS and Kiwa.
• Conduct inspections using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the machining process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

• Proficiency in CNC programming with experience in lathe and mill operations.
• Strong knowledge of Mastercam programming and blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Understanding of GD&T principles and mechanical knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred.
