About the position

The Applications Engineer will work directly on the shop floor in Indianapolis, focusing on machine set-up and programming tasks. This role involves significant travel, approximately 40%, to support various applications and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Work on the shop floor to assist with applications and machine set-up.
• Perform long hand programming for CNC machines.
• Utilize CAD/CAM programming techniques.
• Create and write G codes for machine operations.
• Work with multi-channel lathes and multiple turrets.
• Handle metal cutting operations with various types of metal materials.
• Apply tooling knowledge to optimize machine performance.

Requirements

• Experience with applications and machine set-up.
• Proficiency in long hand programming.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM programming.
• Experience in creating and writing G codes.
• Hands-on experience with multi-channel lathes.
• Familiarity with multiple turrets.
• Experience in metal cutting operations.
