About the position
B&T USA is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to operate and maintain CNC equipment, focusing on programming from prints and solid models using software such as Fusion 360 and Mastercam. The role involves selecting appropriate tooling, setting up parts, conducting inspections, and making necessary adjustments for production efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Program 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC mills.
- Set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools for precision machining operations.
- Maintain CNC machines and ensure they are in good working condition.
- Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
- Select appropriate machines and settings for tasks.
- Plan the sequence of actions for timely job completion and communicate issues to management.
- Take accurate measurements to cut and shape materials according to specifications.
- Monitor machines during operation and identify needs for adjustments.
- Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
- Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
- Communicate with vendors, management, customers, and technical experts to coordinate manufacturing needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous work experience as a CNC programmer.
- Extensive experience with computer modeling software.
- Completion of a technical or associate degree program is a plus.
