About the position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer who can operate manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and capable of independently operating and programming CNC machines using Mastercam. This role involves producing parts using various materials, selecting appropriate tools, and planning the sequence of cutting and finishing operations while ensuring dimensional accuracy throughout the machining process.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and required specifications for a job.
• Operate and program CNC machines with Mastercam independently.
• Demonstrate expertise in producing parts using a variety of materials.
• Select tools and materials tailored to the requirements of each assigned job.
• Plan the sequence of cutting and finishing operations.
• Monitor and control feed rates and speeds, adjusting as necessary.
• Utilize measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure the accuracy of dimensions throughout the machining process.
• Assess and replace cutting tools as needed.
• Identify the need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs.

Requirements

• CNC programming experience
• Proficiency with calipers and micrometers
• Mid-level CNC milling machine operation
• Machining skills
• Experience with Mastercam
• Ability to read blueprints
• CNC CAM programming experience

• Ability to program, operate, and set up Mazak and Kent machines
