About the position

The CNC Programmer and Setup Technician is responsible for developing, writing, and modifying CNC programs based on CAD models and engineering drawings. This role involves close collaboration with the Engineering and Design Department to prototype new parts and run production parts, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in machining operations.

Responsibilities

• Develops, writes, and modifies CNC programs based on CAD models and engineering drawings using CAM software (Fusion 360 preferred) ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Sets up, programs, operates, and troubleshoots CNC mills and lathes without assistance.
• Develops and designs fixturing.

Requirements

• Proficient in CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360 and/or Solidworks.
• CNC Programming Capabilities using either G-code and CAM System for CNC machining operations.
• Cutting tool selection and optimization skills.
• High level of experience on CNC vertical mill and dual spindle lathes with live tooling.
• Fixture design experience.
• 3-5 years of CAD/CAM experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Solidworks and Fusion 360 preferred.
