About the position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts. You will collaborate closely with production teams to ensure accurate and efficient machining processes, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Understand set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations
• Write and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
• Troubleshoot issues with machines or programs as needed
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize processes
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and software (e.g., G-code)
• Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus
• Excellent mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for programming (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
