About the position
The CNC Programmer/Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce precision parts. This role requires expertise in working with various CNC machines and the ability to handle close tolerances in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Program CNC machinery to produce parts according to specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC machines including Okumas, Haas, Mori Seiki, and Daewoo.
- Ensure adherence to close tolerances during the manufacturing process.
- Utilize CAD design skills to assist in programming and design tasks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming and operation.
- Experience with close tolerances in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery.
- Courses or experience in CAD design.
- Experience with EdgeCam preferred; MasterCam will be considered.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically Vantage/Epicor preferred.
