CNC Programmer

About the position

Responsible for programming and nesting plasma tables, tube lasers, flat lasers, and press brakes using CAD and CAM software. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The programmer will maintain detailed documentation of all programming activities, including program files, setup sheets, and tooling information, to achieve production goals and ensure product quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement programs and nests for plasma tables, tube lasers, flat lasers, and press brakes to meet production specifications.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all programming activities, including program files, setup sheets, and tooling information.
• Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues during production.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements.
• Meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with sheet metal and/or structural steel fabrication.
• Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with CAD and/or CAM software (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD, Boost, OmniWIN).
• Basic knowledge of Global Shop or similar ERP systems.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
