About the position

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for designing tooling that meets customer specifications and producing blueprint parts. This role involves maintaining digital and electronic data, programming CNC machines, and supporting various departments within the manufacturing environment. The position is a direct hire opportunity with a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling that meets customer specifications and produces a blueprint part.
• Maintain digital/electronic data.
• Perform CNC programming.
• Obtain quotes from vendors and assist Supply Chain in supplier selection and management.
• Support manufacturing and other departments as an internal customer.
• Perform cost analysis and tradeoff improvement studies.
• Create tool models, drawings, and detail drawings.
• Generate tooling work orders.
• Manage hazardous waste generated in the work area.
• Consult customer specification documents to develop operations routing for all manufactured products.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering or related experience in job function and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Up to three years' experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong CAD/CAE skills; experience with Catia, Vericut, or Caps preferred.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience preferred.
• Knowledge of aerospace company specifications and practices.
• Technical writing skills preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
