About the position

Ohio Carbon Blank is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their dynamic team. This full-time position involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines in a fast-paced job shop environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and a solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, mill-turn).
• Create setups and troubleshoot without pre-made fixtures for most parts.
• Program using SolidWorks 2024 and VISI Cam 2024.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T with precision tolerances of +/- 0.0002.
• Develop and edit programs to meet specific project requirements.
• Design and fabricate fixtures, soft jaws, and CAD models for new programs.
• Utilize and maintain analog measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and comparators.
• Work on multiple projects daily, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
• Leverage experience with Mazatrol and Y-axis live tooling lathes (a plus).

Requirements

• Minimum of [X years] experience in CNC programming and machining.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks 2024 and VISI Cam 2024.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience working in a job shop environment is preferred.
• In-depth understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret blueprints.
