About the position

Oldcastle Infrastructure™, a CRH company, is seeking a dedicated individual to take on the role of operating and maintaining a multi-axis CNC milling Robot. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, which are integral to providing utility infrastructure solutions across North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily inspections and pre-startup preventive maintenance (PM) on the CNC milling Robot, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally and safely. In this role, you will be expected to read and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine the dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading the machine efficiently, adhering to safety and security procedures, and using equipment and materials properly. Keeping all tools, dies, and machine controls in good working condition is essential, as is ensuring that all paperwork is filled out completely and accurately. Additionally, you will be tasked with cleaning up your working area and the surrounding environment, maintaining a tidy and organized workspace. Other duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Performs daily inspection and pre-startup PM on the CNC milling Robot.
  • Reads drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Loads and unloads the machine in an efficient and productive manner.
  • Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Keeps all tools, dies, and machine controls in good working condition.
  • Ensures paperwork is filled out completely and accurately.
  • Cleans up the working area and entire surroundings after operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary or High school diploma or GED with relevant experience.
  • Experience working with Robotics and/or Automation.
  • Knowledge of electrical and/or programming preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CAD.
  • At least 1 year of experience and/or training in a related field.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as requested.
  • Strong mathematical knowledge.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
