About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 4 years related machining experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety policies, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with others at all levels.
• Ability to carry out instructions and deal effectively with problems and situations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with HMC, VMC, HTL, VTL, Swiss Screw, Multi-Axis lathes, and Transfer machines.
• Good organizational and math skills.
• Proficiency in using personal hand tools and measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent operation of various CNC machines including 2, 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.
• Maintain machine operations and perform independent tool changes and setups without assistance.
• Cycle through proven and unproven programs to obtain first articles on multiple machine types.
• Determine work holding and tool selection for machining tasks.
• Extensively edit programs as needed for machine operation.
• Mentor and assist in training of other employees in machining processes.
• Document processes accurately and maintain a clean work area.
• Detect and report defective equipment, materials, and faulty operations.
