About the position
ManTech is seeking a motivated CNO Java Software Engineer to join our team in Hanover, Maryland. This role involves specialized testing and evaluation capabilities tailored to system functions, focusing on software development and integration in a CNO environment. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing software solutions while ensuring adherence to software standards and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of Java 8 or higher.
- Perform system and subsystem definition, design, implementation, and integration tests.
- Research requirements for products, including CNO deployment environment and performance criteria.
- Design ideas for new capabilities or improvements to existing capabilities.
- Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent and output requirements.
- Ensure software standards are met and modify existing software as needed.
- Debug and troubleshoot software, performing quality control on team products.
- Coordinate and perform software deployments for developed products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 7 years of programming experience, or 11 years of programming experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with Java 8 or higher.
- Experience with build environments such as Gradle or Maven.
- Familiarity with Object Oriented Analysis and Design.
- Knowledge of CNO environment and agile software development methodology.
- Knowledge of XML or XSLT and JSON.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Spring Cloud and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Kafka and Subversion/GIT.
- Experience with Elastic / Kibana and VMWare, preferably ESX.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Jira, Bamboo, Crucible).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
