About the position

Prevailance, Inc. is seeking a Surface Force Training Requirements Developer and Functional Systems Analyst to support the Commander, Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP) and Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC). This role focuses on enhancing Navy operations and training processes, particularly at the department or division level, with an emphasis on improving the readiness of the Pacific Fleet. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and improvement of training standards for CNSP and ATGPAC.
  • Monitor and analyze Navy training metrics to ensure compliance with evolving standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage and allocate training resources effectively, ensuring that training schedules align with operational requirements.
  • Identify and prioritize training system issues, including conducting gap analyses to address deficiencies.
  • Lead and manage a training team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Utilize Navy information systems such as TORIS, RADM, and NTMPS/FLTMPS for effective training management and reporting.
  • Conduct analysis and reporting on Navy training metrics to provide insights into training effectiveness and areas needing attention.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience with Navy training and certification processes, particularly in managing training resources and metrics.
  • At least two years of experience in identifying, tracking, and prioritizing training system issues, with a focus on conducting gap analyses.
  • Two years of experience managing a training team, either shipboard or at a training command, emphasizing collaboration and operational success.
  • Familiarity with operating Navy information systems such as TORIS, RADM, or NTMPS/FLTMPS to facilitate training management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, presentations, and documentation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the Surface Force Training and Readiness Manual (SFTRM) and its application to Navy training processes.
  • Understanding of Navy training metrics and reporting requirements to monitor and enhance training effectiveness.
