About the position

The CoMET Project Manager at HVJ Associates is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction through effective project management, quality report preparation, and adherence to project schedules, budgets, and design constraints. The role involves managing projects to meet financial goals, supporting other project managers, and mentoring junior staff while also contributing to business development efforts.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects to meet HVJ SCTX financial goals and quality standards.
• Provide project deliverables on schedule and within budget.
• Develop proposals for future work.
• Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and project management.
• Guide and mentor junior staff.
• Assist the Department Manager with general management responsibilities.
• Support business development initiatives.
• Track project expenses to ensure work is performed within budget.
• Invoice projects following client requirements and HVJ SCTX schedule.
• Review all reports prior to submission to the client for completeness and accuracy.

Requirements

• MSCE or BSCE with 5+ years of directly related experience.
• Required Texas PE license.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials.
• Proficient in Microsoft environment.
• Valid Texas Driver License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with projects in the Public Sector such as TxDOT, Municipalities, Water Authorities.
