About the position

Delta Training Planning is seeking a Co-Op to assist in delivering data-driven solutions and automation that aim to continually enhance Training Planning strategy and decision-making processes. The Co-Op will engage directly with a team responsible for addressing a variety of interesting and challenging projects that contribute significantly to cost and time savings. This role involves identifying existing manual processes that can be improved through data automation, designing and implementing replacements for these processes, and delivering solutions that help reduce task completion times. The Co-Op will also utilize project management skills to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within budget. The selected candidate must be able to commit to the following Co-op rotation(s): Summer 2025, Spring 2026, and Fall 2026. This position is ideal for individuals who are currently enrolled full-time and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. The Co-Op will gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment, working alongside professionals who are dedicated to improving training processes through innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering data-driven solutions and automation for Training Planning strategy.
  • Identify existing manual processes for improvement through data automation.
  • Design and implement replacements for manual processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Deliver solutions aimed at reducing task completion time.
  • Utilize project management skills to ensure timely and budget-compliant task completion.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Knowledge of SQL or database query tools; SAS preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and personal management skills.
  • Robust verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VBA, Access).
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work well in teams and embrace diverse thinking and styles.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $65.6K - $83K per year for seasonal positions.
