About the position

The Co-Op Cyber & Physical Security position at altafiber supports the organization's strategy and objectives in managing cyber and physical security risks. The role involves performing various technical and functional tasks to develop policies, standards, and guidelines that protect altafiber's information, IT systems, and physical assets. The position also emphasizes collaboration with business units to assess risks and implement appropriate security measures while enabling business opportunities through security capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish, facilitate, or operate cyber and physical security processes to protect the organization's facilities, assets, information, and services.
• Track and measure costs to ensure appropriate investment and efficient solutions that drive business value.
• Identify and mitigate potential cyber and physical security risks.
• Assess and facilitate compliance with external regulatory requirements related to security, including active participation with external consortia and agencies.
• Plan, oversee, and lead projects from start to completion, managing multiple project components and stakeholders.
• Operationalize documented solutions and deliver day-to-day security operations and support.
• Participate in departmental meetings, projects, and activities as needed.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments accordingly.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
