About the position

Co-op - Data Analyst - Cambridge, MA - January - August 2025 Are you interested in an Internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in paid intern opportunities. Through this role, you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company. Your role will involve designing and implementing ETL (Extract Transform Load) pipelines for performance data to help with the development of a highly scalable Philips Hospital Patient Monitoring distributed system. You will work with cross-functional teams to design and enforce established standards for building data collection and reporting solutions. The project includes the collection of data from disparate sources and processing it into a common dashboard. You will create models based on the collected data and generate insights and predictive analytics. Continually exploring opportunities to improve processes in the ongoing development of analytical tools and models, ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and analysis will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also apply automation techniques to existing reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. This internship is an excellent opportunity for those pursuing a Bachelor or Master's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant courses. You will be expected to demonstrate experience with DBMS concepts (e.g., SQL Server and SQL queries), and experience with No-SQL databases is a plus. Proficiency with MS Excel and prior knowledge/experience with a data analysis tool (e.g., Qlik reporting, PowerBI dashboard, Tableau, etc.) is also beneficial. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, C#, or C++ is required, along with experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub actions, Azure DevOps). You should have acquired 2+ years of experience in university and/or previous internships or co-ops in data analytics, data science, or software development.
