About the position

The Co-op Digital Field Applications Engineering position at Renesas Electronics is an internship role designed for students pursuing a Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical or Computer Engineering. The intern will work closely with the project lead Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to implement a pre-selected Renesas MCU in a project, involving tasks such as system design, programming, and debugging. The role emphasizes collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the intern expected to present their findings and solutions to a larger audience.

Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with a pre-selected Renesas MCU and its features.
  • Interface with the project lead FAE and management to report project status and roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with the project lead FAE to define solutions for the project, including block diagrams and simulations.
  • Demonstrate the completed solution.
  • Prepare and present a final presentation in PowerPoint format.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Basic knowledge of embedded system design.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
  • Previous experience as a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
