About the position

The Electrical Engineering Co-op position at New York Air Brake offers students in their junior or senior year an opportunity to contribute significantly to the development of advanced freight rail braking solutions. Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with electrical design details
• Further research and development of existing products and technologies
• Support product development
• Develop and construct test infrastructure
• Perform tests and organize test data
• Perform design updates based on test findings
• Gather and coordinate data for engineers

Requirements

• Understand basic circuit understanding
• Understand circuit analysis skills
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes and digital multimeters
• Understand basic instrumentation, including data acquisition
• Understand basic electrical engineering skills and use of tools
• Understand imperial and metric units of measure
• Capable of technical writing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Degree in process: Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or Computer Engineering Technology
• Minimum Year: Entering Junior Year
