About The Position

The Engineering Co-Op Program at Atlas Roofing Corporation offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various engineering disciplines while contributing to the company's engineering community. Located at the Franklin, Ohio manufacturing facility, this program focuses on developing engineering capabilities in design, development, product knowledge, problem-solving, and technical support. Requirements

• Must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a cooperative education program at an accredited college or university.
• Must be at least a sophomore and able to complete a minimum of two work rotations.
• Must maintain a 2.5 or higher GPA.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to generate accurate and concise technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment and comply with proper use of PPE.
• Participate in sample builds, teardowns, testing, and inspections.
• Support and lead assigned projects in continuous improvement, including quality, safety, cost, and productivity improvements.
• Assist in gathering data, analyzing, and drawing engineering conclusions.
• Conduct problem-solving investigations and troubleshooting to identify root causes and implement countermeasures.
• Provide technical support and analytical analysis for material issues.
• Organize and prioritize work requests to meet project timing requirements.
• Develop and implement efficiency, cost, and quality improvement ideas.
• Assist plant management by performing administrative functions.
