About the position

The Co-op position in Hardware Test Engineering Reliability at Philips offers undergraduate and graduate students a chance to gain hands-on experience in a HealthTech environment. The role focuses on supporting the Reliability Engineering team in various tasks related to the testing and qualification of medical devices, providing a comprehensive understanding of reliability engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support Reliability Engineering staff in day-to-day tasks and projects.
  • Assist in setting up equipment and medical devices for environmental, dynamics, and life testing.
  • Review test plans and test reports for compliance with Good Documentation Practices.
  • Execute environmental and humidity testing, dynamics testing, and Highly Accelerated Limit Testing (HALT) for medical devices.
  • Maintain a summary of accomplishments made during the Co-op period and present them to the Hardware Test Engineering team.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.4/4.0 or higher.
  • Major in engineering, physical science, computer science, or a quality-related discipline.
  • Detail-oriented, inquisitive, and possess a do-it-right attitude.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience, or involvement in professional, community, or extracurricular activities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of reliability, biomedical, electrical, mechanical, and/or physics of failure.
