About the position

The Instructional Designer Intern at Biogen will support the Learning Design team by assisting in the creation and development of instructional materials for learning modules. This role involves collaborating with team members and stakeholders to define project scopes, designing training materials, and utilizing various authoring tools to deliver effective learning experiences. The internship is a 6-month position from January to June 2025, providing students with hands-on experience in instructional design within a leading biotechnology company.

Responsibilities

  • Assist on projects requiring instructional design skills and integration with the learning management system.
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to determine the scope of projects and desired results.
  • Design training materials, including eLearning, videos, and guides, according to specified goals, technology, and timeframes.
  • Utilize authoring tools such as Brainshark, mysimpleshow, PowerPoint, and Synthesia to create learning materials.
  • Employ project management skills to align and complete projects as required.

Requirements

  • Legally residing in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Graduate level, majoring in instructional design or related fields.
