About the position
The Co-Op in Quality Engineering at Biogen is a 6-month student role designed to support the Quality systems in compliance with cGMP standards at the RTP Pharma site. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring that facility, equipment, automation, and utilities meet regulatory requirements while collaborating with various teams to improve processes and procedures related to manufacturing area shutdowns, pest control, and remedial action reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Quality Engineering team with process improvements to site-specific procedures and global programs.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations and Site Services to harmonize manufacturing area shutdown practices across PF, OSM, and OSD.
- Revise two site-specific procedures related to manufacturing area shutdowns.
- Work with Site Services and other Biogen locations to improve pest control reports and trending.
- Revise the procedure defining the global pest control program.
- Collaborate with Instrumentation and Controls to improve Remedial Action Report (RAR) trending and revise the global RAR program.
- Participate in additional projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office / SharePoint is a plus.
- Ability to hit deadlines and understand processes from start to finish.
- Great communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college or university.
- Rising Sophomore or above & enrolled in an Engineering or Scientific Undergraduate or Master's degree program.
