About the position
The Middle School Boys Basketball Coach will assist the head coach in implementing the objectives of the basketball program. This role involves working closely with student-athletes to develop their skills and promote teamwork and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices and games.
- Provide instruction and guidance to student-athletes on basketball techniques and strategies.
- Promote teamwork and sportsmanship among players.
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and ensure compliance with school policies.
- Communicate effectively with parents, players, and school administration.
Requirements
- Experience in coaching basketball at the middle school level or higher.
- Strong knowledge of basketball rules and strategies.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
Nice-to-haves
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience playing basketball at a competitive level.
