About the position

Under supervision of the Assistant Principal of Business and Activities and Athletic Director, teach the fundamentals of the specified activity, be responsible for the planning, organization, and implementation of the specified activity program in accordance with Title IX as well as Recognized Professional Organization guidelines. Employment start date is contingent upon positive references, fingerprint and criminal background clearances, and final approval dates.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the fundamentals of the specified activity.
  • Plan, organize, and implement the specified activity program.
  • Ensure compliance with Title IX and Recognized Professional Organization guidelines.

Requirements

  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications must be attached to employment application.
  • Minimum of one year coaching experience of the specified activity at the high school level.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications throughout the specified season.
  • Possess a valid and appropriate California's Driver's License and proof of financial responsibility as required by California Vehicle Code Section 16020.
  • Possess a valid Coaching Certificate as required by the CIF bylaws.
  • Possess a Concussion in Sports Certificate.
  • Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC) through the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Three to five years of experience coaching at the high school level.
  • One year of experience coaching at the varsity level for Head Varsity positions.
