About the position

You will be responsible for processing lien placement transactions within the Title Department. In this role, the candidate will be required to make calls to customers, dealerships, DMVs, and other financial institutions. The candidate should be able to utilize probing questions to obtain required information from customers and third parties and by being firm and using negotiation and influencing skills to obtain required documents. The candidate will be required to make contact with COAF borrowers in a professional manner and will communicate state-specific title requirements in a manner understandable by persons unaware of state titling requirements. The candidate must be able to pre-fill state documents required for lien placement, as well as prepare cover letters and operate fax/copy machines. Additionally, the candidate will be required to track and report productivity results and portfolio volumes in Excel. The ideal candidate should possess great attention to detail and be able to type effectively. Effective communication, both verbally and in writing, is essential. Dependability and the ability to drive towards results are crucial, as is the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Flexibility and a willingness to learn while receiving on-the-job training are also important, as no formal classroom training is available.

Responsibilities

  • Process lien placement transactions within the Title Department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • At least 6 months of customer service experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 1 year of titles or lien placement experience.
