About the position
The Coater Operator position at Pregis LLC is a full-time role focused on producing high-quality packaging products. This labor-intensive position requires strict attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols while ensuring order accuracy and quality control throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Ensure production of a quality product by following established procedures.
- Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Review preceding shift operations and communicate with the coater helper.
- Check coating schedules and ensure accurate footage is run for all products.
- Inspect materials for defects and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Measure and adjust adhesive solids as necessary before use.
- Prepare for changeovers to minimize downtime and complete all required paperwork.
- Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
- Keep the work area clean and safe, and assist other employees as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent in English & Mathematics.
- Familiarity with manufacturing or quality environments preferred.
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to read a tape measure.
