About the position
This position is responsible for the vaccination, blood pull, and movement of all Cobb products serviced by the Cobb Grandparent operation. The role involves working in a biosecure environment and requires adherence to strict animal welfare guidelines. The successful candidate will perform physical tasks related to poultry management and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Responsibilities
- Vaccinate GP Chickens (50%)
- Move pullets (40%)
- Operate a high pressure and regular water hose
- Maintain foot pans and hand sanitizers
- Clean and disinfect Cobb vehicles
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (6%)
- Move spike males (4%)
- Adhere to biosecurity and animal welfare guidelines
Requirements
- Must reside in the United States
- Previous agricultural or production experience preferred
- Willingness to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must use safe lifting techniques and regularly lift/move up to thirty pounds, with occasional lifting/moving up to one hundred pounds
