About The Position

The Poultry Farm Worker Class 2 position at Cobb involves providing general labor in assisting contract shavings crew, observing contract catch crew, cleaning and disinfecting vehicles, modules, and equipment, as well as vaccination, blood pull, and movement of all Cobb products serviced by the regional Cobb Grandparent operation. The role requires following a weekly schedule to distribute insecticides and pesticides, with other duties assigned as necessary. The position is based in Kentucky Farms, Monticello, KY, and typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, averaging 40 hours per week, though hours may vary based on workload and production needs.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license and be approved to drive a Company vehicle.
• Must be able to read and write to follow weekly schedules.
• Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species.
• Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Place and spray vaccinate 16,100 birds at placement at pullet farm.
• Perform lab sampling on approximately 80 chick boxes.
• Spray vaccinate approximately 16,100 birds at 2 weeks, 6 weeks, and 15 weeks of age.
• Load approximately 24 modules onto truck using a forklift.
• Clean and disinfect modules, vehicles, and equipment.
• Follow a weekly schedule to distribute insecticides/pesticides at GP contract farms.
• Assist contract shavings crew and observe contract catch crew to ensure Animal Welfare guidelines are followed.
