About the position

The COBOL/Mainframe QA Analyst and Tester position is a remote role focused on quality assurance for the Medicaid system of South Carolina. This project involves making federally mandated changes to the Medicaid system, requiring the candidate to perform quality assurance (QA) requirements and support user acceptance (UA) testing of software coding changes related to Medicaid systems data. The role necessitates collaboration with users, external healthcare providers, and trading partners to ensure that the changes are effectively tested and validated. As a QA Tester, the individual will work closely with the project team to test coding changes, which includes creating test scenarios, executing tests, analyzing test results, and resolving discrepancies between actual and expected outcomes. The candidate will also be responsible for communicating effectively with the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) to support user acceptance testing. This position is strictly focused on quality assurance and does not involve programming, business analysis, or project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and oral, and will be adaptable and self-motivated.
