About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior Billing/Collections experience is necessary.
• Current certification in RCC, AAPC, or RHIT is required.
• Experience with Intergy Radiology Information System is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills to manage workload and assignments.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.

• Experience in a medical coding environment.
• Ability to work as an effective team member.

Responsibilities

• Review radiology reports for correct CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Verify insurance plans per contractual charge agreements and CCI edits.
• Perform other job-related duties as necessary for the efficient operation of SDMI.
• Complete occurrence reports within 24 hours of any event or risk.
• Maintain knowledge of current SDMI department policies and procedures.
• Participate in cross-training activities for professional growth.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and other personnel.
