About The Position

Skill Samurai is seeking passionate Coding Instructors to teach coding skills to children and teens aged 5-16 through engaging after-school programs. Instructors will lead classes in popular platforms such as Minecraft and Roblox, while also fostering a fun and inspiring learning environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to making a long-term impact in students' lives and are looking for a rewarding experience beyond just a summer job.

Requirements

• High level of energy and work ethic.
• Passion for technology, including Minecraft, Roblox, streaming, YouTube, 3D character design, and robotics.
• Desire to lead and mentor children and teens.
• Strong communication skills and confidence.
• Knowledgeable about coding languages such as Python, Javascript, and Unity.
• Experience working with children ages 7 and up is an asset.
• Knowledgeable of video games on various consoles.
• Current or expected bachelor's degree in education or STEM.

Responsibilities

• Assist students as they follow along with the course material.
• Familiarize yourself with the curriculum.
• Lead activities and build relationships with a diverse group of children and parents.

• Interact with kids to create a fun atmosphere.
• Follow daily opening and closing duties.
• Maintain cleanliness of the center throughout the day.
