About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher (Coding, STEM, and Robotics) to join our educational team at Code Ninjas Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working with students of various ages, utilizing effective teaching methods to engage and educate them.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Manage classroom behavior to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Assess student performance through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including those requiring additional support.
• Facilitate tutoring sessions for students needing extra assistance outside of regular class hours.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.

Requirements

• Experience working with students in a classroom or educational setting is preferred.
• A relevant degree or certification in education is required.
• Strong classroom management skills to effectively handle diverse learning environments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with students and parents effectively.
• Ability to educate and inspire students, fostering a love for learning.
• Previous experience in tutoring or providing individualized support is advantageous.

Nice-to-haves

• Background in adult education or childcare is a plus.
• Tutoring experience of 1 year is preferred.
