About the position

The Coding Specialist at INTEGRIS Health plays a crucial role in the Revenue Integrity Team by analyzing clinical and demographic information from health records and assigning appropriate ICD-10 codes. This position ensures compliance with CMS and other regulatory agencies while contributing to the mission of providing exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Analyze clinical and demographic information from health records.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10 codes following guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with CMS and other regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Understanding of disease processes and etiology.
• Familiarity with various computer applications including Windows, Excel, and Hospital Information Systems.
• Enrollment in medical coding coursework or certification for RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC; or 1 year prior coding experience.
• Effective communication skills in English (oral and written).
