The ERS Electrical Commissioning Engineer position is a remote role focused on performing field commissioning procedures for electrical systems, including moderately complex systems. The engineer will also have some experience with mechanical systems. The role involves inspecting, testing, and documenting results, which can be mentally demanding as it requires concentration on several projects simultaneously. The position operates with limited supervision, allowing for a degree of independence in managing tasks and responsibilities. Key responsibilities include all aspects of commissioning electrical power distribution systems, developing and participating in the Owners Project Requirements (OPR) process, and preparing pre-functional and functional forms. The engineer will also participate in design, construction, commissioning, and progress meetings, develop commissioning requirements and plans, and track and report issues while problem-solving. Additionally, the role involves developing and coordinating training programs, participating in Integrated Systems Tests (IST), and assisting in the writing and assembly of commissioning reports. The engineer will represent the company as a lecturer on technical topics and play a crucial role in each commissioning project, ensuring project schedules are met and maintaining strong client relationships. The position requires a graduate engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and a minimum of one year of relevant work experience. Alternatively, candidates with a commissioning technical training background and two years of experience or those with a high school education and five years of experience in commissioning projects are also considered. Knowledge of ASHRAE commissioning industry standards, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) process, and the National Electrical Code is preferred. The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's core principles and behaviors, focusing on safety, integrity, respect, teamwork, and diversity and inclusion.
