About the position

The COE -ERS Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for integrating complex electric power systems, requiring specialized expertise in power system studies, software and hardware engineering, and interface protocols. This role involves solving unique problems in collaboration with various stakeholders, ensuring that the system integration aligns with the owner's requirements and technical designs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain advanced technical expertise in electric power system protection and automation.
  • Collaborate with design teams, vendors, utilities, regulatory agencies, operators, owners, contractors, and protection engineers to create system programming that meets owner's requirements.
  • Develop settings for all layers of control, including protective relaying and communication processors.
  • Simulate power system conditions in a lab environment to test communications and automation functionality of integrated IEDs and software packages.
  • Write complete and detailed reports using a computer and accurately process job billing.
  • Standardize logic schemes via documentation using Autocade.
  • Track, organize, and manage projects using web-based storage.

Requirements

  • Graduate Engineer BSEE or BSME with five years' experience in design, testing, and commissioning of protection and automation systems.
  • Three years' experience as a Power Systems Engineer.
  • Registered Engineer in Training or the ability to obtain licensure.
