About the position

The Coffee House Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in a coffee shop environment. This role involves taking orders, preparing gourmet coffee and specialty beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the workspace. The attendant will also handle cash and credit transactions while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
• Take beverage and food orders accurately.
• Brew gourmet coffee and other specialty beverages.
• Sell sandwiches, snacks, espresso, and specialty beverages.
• Upsell and suggest items to customers.
• Process cash and credit transactions accurately and maintain a balanced bank.
• Stock condiment trays, coffee station, display cases, and refrigerators.
• Clean work areas and equipment regularly.
• Print reports at the end of the shift.
• Adhere to all liability laws and food safety regulations.

Requirements

• No formal schooling required.
• Must present Food handlers ServSafe and RAMP certifications.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend throughout the shift.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including AM & PM shifts.

Benefits

• Probationary rate of $14.72, increasing to $15.53 after 3 months and $16.35 after 6 months.
• Full-time position with 35 hours per week.
