About the position

The Coffee Roaster at Calioh Coffee is a part-time hybrid role responsible for specialty coffee roasting, quality control, and effective communication with team members. This position involves both in-person and some remote work, focusing on delivering exceptional coffee experiences while maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, and specialty drinks.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all products are prepared and served in a sanitary manner.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
• Engage with customers to provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Participate in training sessions to improve skills related to brewing techniques and customer service.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry or as a Barista is preferred.
• Knowledge of brewing methods and coffee types is essential.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
