About the position
The Coiler - CNC - Set Up & Operate position at Ace Wire Spring & Form Co. involves setting up and operating automatic spring coiling machines to produce a variety of wire springs. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate automatic spring coiling machines for various shapes of wire springs.
- Plan sequence of operations for CNC machines with 3, 4, and 5 axes.
- Select appropriate speeds, feeds, and tooling for production.
- Grind cans and tools as necessary.
- Inspect and check the first piece produced to ensure quality standards are met.
- Make necessary allowances after heat treating to ensure product integrity.
Requirements
- Mid-level experience in CNC machine operation and setup.
- Ability to operate automatic spring coiling machines effectively.
- Strong understanding of CNC technology and operations.
- Experience with various wire shapes and materials.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines.
- Knowledge of heat treating processes and adjustments.
