About the position

The Total Preventative Maintenance Supervisor at Pilkington North America Inc. is responsible for overseeing the Cold End department, focusing on continuous improvement of processes and systems. This role involves managing a team of maintenance employees, ensuring the implementation of standard operating procedures, and driving initiatives to enhance equipment performance, quality, and safety. The supervisor will also be involved in training team members and developing new products or processes to meet future demands.

Responsibilities

• Drive process continuous improvement by coordinating corrective actions with team involvement.
• Investigate opportunities and plan actions to overcome equipment, quality, and safety issues.
• Train team members in standard operating procedures (SOP) and conduct regular audits for compliance.
• Create SOPs as needed for future efficiency improvements.
• Assist in the development of new products, processes, or systems.
• Contribute to research and development projects to meet future demands.
• Directly responsible for yield, uptime, and throughput of all production lines.
• Plan maintenance activities to continually improve group performance.
• Specify preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and ensure completion of activities.
• Investigate and analyze machinery downtime and organize corrective activities to prevent recurrence.
• Identify and update spare part inventory to eliminate downtime due to lack of spares.
• Supervise and plan the Cold End department's hourly maintenance employees.

Requirements

• Related degree in Science/Engineering or proven equivalent experience.
• Three to five years of supervisory or management experience.
• Five years of experience in maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance practices and procedures.
