About the position
The Prep Cook is responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation, portioning, cooking, and presentation of a variety of food items for different meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. This role is essential in ensuring that meals are prepared to high standards and served in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold food items.
- Portion food items accurately for service.
- Present food items attractively for various meal periods.
- Assist in the preparation of meals for special and catered events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of basic operation of kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with cash-handling procedures preferred.
