About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician to serve as a Collaborating Physician for our Daphne and/or Mobile, AL Clinics. Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, Urgent Care for Children began serving patients ages zero to 21 in 2017. Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and collaborate with nurse practitioners to ensure high standards of pediatric care.
  • Work in-clinic shifts alongside Nurse Practitioners to provide direct patient care.
  • Conduct monthly quality reviews of patient charts based on State Regulations and/or procedures.
  • Evaluate, assess, provide proper documentation, and give appropriate interventions for patient care.
  • Be available to Nurse Practitioners via phone or email for consultation.
  • Supervise multiple Nurse Practitioners, providing guidance and support.
  • Execute collaborative agreements with Nurse Practitioners and renew as required by State Law.
  • Provide feedback to Nurse Practitioners on performance, including identifying areas for improvement.
  • Perform any other duties or services required by law or company policy.
  • Conduct site visits with respective Nurse Practitioners as needed.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in Pediatrics.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Alabama.
  • Strong clinical skills in pediatric urgent care procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPR and PALS certification required.
