About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collection Representative to join our team. This part-time role involves managing and collecting outstanding debts from clients while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and English and will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our organization by effectively managing accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

• Contact clients via phone and email to collect outstanding payments.
• Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions.
• Review files and accounts for discrepancies and resolve issues related to billing or payments.
• Prepare written correspondence to clients as needed.
• Process credit card payments, record cash payments, and create receipts.
• Enter client data, invoices, and receipts into legal software.

Requirements

• Fluency in Spanish and English (reading/writing/speaking) is required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
• Solid understanding of financial concepts and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Windows 10.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple accounts efficiently.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in phone customer service and accounts receivable collections.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
