Responsibilities

  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and necessary adjustments.
  • Contact former residents via email and mail to establish payment plans.
  • Maintain detailed records of all communications and transactions with accounts.
  • Address and resolve any disputes related to billing and payments.
  • Process payment information over the phone for credit card payments.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations during collection activities.
  • Assist third-party collection agents with adjustments, questions, and legal filings.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience or similar role.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database use.
  • Familiarity with billing procedures and contract law.
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is a plus.
