In the College and Career Coach (CACC) position, the College Success Foundation (CSF) AmeriCorps member will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering college and career readiness lessons specifically tailored for 8th grade middle school students at one of CSF's partner schools. This position is designed to contribute significantly to the development and growth of the school's college-going culture, thereby strengthening students' aspirations towards higher education. The CACC will engage in collaborative efforts with school staff, community partners, and CSF staff to create a supportive environment for students. The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing a variety of educational strategies aimed at enhancing students' understanding of college readiness. This includes direct interaction with middle school students, where the member will deliver curricula focused on college and career readiness, as well as provide support services that aim to bolster students' college aspirations. The role also involves administering pre and post assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the programs being implemented. Additionally, the CACC will support the efforts of parents, guardians, and school staff in building and strengthening the college-going culture within the school. This collaborative approach is essential to ensure that students are provided with the best opportunities to be college-ready.
