About the position

The Risk Management Intern position at Meijer is a summer internship designed for students pursuing a degree in Insurance and Risk Management. This 11-week program offers hands-on experience in the finance function of a retail enterprise, focusing on risk management. Responsibilities

• Providing the Risk Manager assistance on special projects focusing around claim analytics and reporting.

Requirements

• Progress toward a bachelor's degree in Insurance and Risk Management (preference junior level candidate).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Attention to detail.
• Drive for results - has focus on the bottom line.
• Customer focus - dedicated to meeting expectations of internal and external customers.
• Relationship Skills - can create positive working relationships with customers, team members, leadership, and other internal and external constituencies.
