About the position

The Sr. College Recruiter serves as the College of Arts and Sciences' strategist for the coordination of recruitment and yield activities for students seeking Masters and Professional degrees for the Office of Interdisciplinary and Professional Studies (IPS). This position is crucial in overseeing admissions for the unit's Masters and Professional Degree Programs and reports directly to the Executive Director of the IPS Office. The incumbent will supervise the College Recruiter and collaborate closely with the Executive Director, IPS Program Directors, and College Leadership to develop comprehensive recruitment plans and marketing strategies aimed at attracting top-notch and diverse students for the graduate programs overseen by the IPS Office. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to meet enrollment goals, possess attention to detail, and exhibit dependability in their role. The primary responsibilities include developing, implementing, and assessing a recruitment plan for Masters and Professional degree programs, which constitutes 70% of the role. This involves working alongside the IPS Executive Director to create and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies that optimize yield from admit to deposit and matriculation. The recruiter will identify target markets and demographics to effectively focus recruitment efforts, plan and execute on and off-campus recruitment events, and prepare professional information sessions regarding graduate programs. Regular meetings with faculty and program directors will be essential to understand their enrollment goals and strategies for achieving them. The recruiter will also guide prospective students through the application process, providing timely information and support, and consistently report on enrollment progress to leadership. The remaining 30% of the role involves extensive travel to strategic areas to identify and recruit prospective students and support IPS programs. This includes representing the College of Arts and Sciences at conferences and recruiting events, supporting the organization of college-wide open houses, and cultivating strong alumni and industry partnerships for referrals.
