About the position
Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an experienced Auto Body General Manager to lead our busy shops in Sacramento, CA. This role presents an excellent opportunity to join a leader in collision repair and advance your career. As the General Manager, you will take ownership of the shop's performance, overseeing various aspects including estimating, sales, profitability, customer service, production, employee relations, and insurance relations. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that our team meets and exceeds Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as customer satisfaction index (CSI), profitability, and cycle time. In this position, you will be responsible for fostering a positive and cooperative work environment by coaching and developing your staff. You will also maintain strong relationships with insurance companies and vendors in a high-efficiency Direct Repair Program (DRP) environment. Responsibilities
- WOW every customer through all phases of the process
- Ensure company operating procedures are followed
- Meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators including CSI, profitability, cycle time, etc.
- Coach and develop your staff, and address any situations as they arise to maintain a positive and cooperative work environment
- Foster insurance and vendor relationships in a high efficiency DRP environment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- World class customer service skills
- 2-5+ years' experience in a similar role
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with estimating systems and insurance direct repair guidelines
- Ability to lead and motivate your staff to reach common goals
- I-CAR or ASE Certifications are a bonus
