About The Position

The Color Apprentice position at Bumble and bumble involves attending weekly technical education classes focused on advanced styling, cutting, and coloring. Apprentices are responsible for identifying and scheduling models for these classes, requiring approximately 4-6 models each week. They must document their work with before and after images and use inspirational reference materials. In the salon, apprentices support all operational efforts, assist hairdressers with client seating, shampooing, and ensuring client comfort, while also promoting positive synergy between cut and color departments. They are expected to create a high-touch customer service experience, comply with operational policies, maintain stock levels, report client recovery needs, and complete housekeeping tasks.

Requirements

  • Excellent technical styling and/or color skills.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including evenings and weekends.
  • Moderate physical effort required, including standing for nearly 8 hours.
  • Must obtain a current cosmetology license issued by the state of NY.

Responsibilities
